Annual Meeting 2008
On January 28th, BCARES held its annual meeting at the Boulder County Clerk and Recorders office. This meeting also celebrated the 30th anniversary of BCARES. 45 Members and guests were present, including two original charter members who were present, John Varga (WA8ZIA) and Al Beu (W0LMQ). Some of the topics covered by Chairman Jim Kubitshek were the 2007 activity reports, Board Position roles and responsibities, and the future Public Information Officer position.
Guest speakers included Jerry Tate, Director of the Boulder County Office on Emergency Management, Jim Smith, Division Chief of Communications for the Sherrifs office, Jeff Ryan (K0RM) ARRL Colorado Section Manager, and Wes Wilson, K0HBZ, Colorado ARES Emergency Coordinator.
Elections were held for open Board positions. Results of the elections are:
George Weber, 2 Year at Large Primary
Dale Scott, 1 Year At Large Primary
Louis Perley, 2 Year At Large Alternate
Jack Flory, 1 Year At Large Alternate
