This is the Anderson PowerPole 30 Amp (APP-30A) connector.
District 11 (BCARES) is in the process of converting from the Molex/R.S.
two pin to the APP-30A on all of its equipment. The APP-30A
handles three times the current and is rated at five times the
number of plug/un-plug cycles, yet costs about the same.
If you
do not have your own "standard" established, this is an excellent
choice.
- KD0RC Packet software
This is the packet/pactor software developed by Len Koppl, KD0RC, for use in formatting and sending messages during ARES deployments. This software will work on even the slowest computers. Available for DOS and for Microsoft Windows.
