Packet Training - Part 2 - April 21st

The March training session went well. Attendees became familiar with the BCARES Packet Sets as well as their own personal setups. The big take-away was the fact that the technology is very old (AX.25), it still works today, and the only difference we are seeing is in the new interfaces (GUIs) being developed to help with setup. (Outpost Packet Message Manager, RCWinLink, RMS Express)

This second session is also to help members get up-and-running with their own packet equipment. People should bring their radios and hardware, if possible. The goal is it to make it work. All set-up questions welcome.

Please click on the date (April 21st) in the calendar and 'Book' yourself into this training if you are planning to attend.

Thanks...........Jerry  (NØOUW)

btw:

If this is your first time using packet please review videos 02, 04, 05, and 07 (they start at the bottom of the page) at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=UUFE00Ijq5WsDh7Y2Ak72CiA before the class to allow us more time for station setup.  Please bring your packet station to test or to help you get it operational.  We will also have BCARES packet stations to train on.
