• Standard Power Connector. This is the Anderson PowerPole 30 Amp (APP-30A) connector. District 11 (BCARES) is in the process of converting from the Molex/R.S. two pin to the APP-30A on all of its equipment. The APP-30A handles three times the current and is rated at five times the number of plug/un-plug cycles, yet costs about the same.
If you do not have your own "standard" established, this is an excellent choice.
  • RCWinPacket Software

This is the packet/pactor software developed by Len Koppl, KD0RC, for use in formatting and sending messages during ARES deployments. This software will work on even the slowest computers. Available for DOS and for Microsoft Windows.

  1. HI. I’m a member of the Preble(County) Amateur Radio Association and we have ATV. But we need to be able to use a man-pack to-go for portable use on similar scenarios that you have( or could have ).
Do you use any type of cross band repeating or general repeating in you ATV system? What kind of antennas do you use?

  3. I am very interested in Advanced Technology Video. Although I know little about it.
Can you recommend some reading or information sources? Also could you list the equipment you use for a station.
