AUXCOMM

 
What is AuxComm ?
For those of you who are wondering what AUXCOMM is, that is the official name given by Homeland Security to Amateur Radio operators (RACES/ARES/CERT), REACT members and others, who augment the paid/trained first responders during declared emergencies.
How is it related to BCARES ?
The first priority of BCARES is communication support to our served agencies the counties of Boulder and Broomfield.

AuxComm is organized at the Colorado State Level as is managed by COARES (Colorado Amateur Radio Emergency Services)

Currently several BCARES members have also received training and are members of AuxComm
